School and ADHD


When a Child has an attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) it is a very challenging job for the parents.
The symptoms of ADHD may cause an academic underachievement, and a lot of behavior problems that could effect later on in life. That might cause difficulties in school, home, work and other activities.
Individuals with ADHD usually have a higher I.Q than average.
It is very painful for a parent to see their child not be able to express themselves. The parent feels a lot of time frustrated that they cant help their child, or don’t know what to do.
ADHD is considered the most common child psychiatric disorder in the united state of America.

Here are 5 ways to deal with ADHD

1. Schedule and Structure- Set up a schedule for your child. That will help your child to know what your expectations are from him for each day.
2. Activities-Set up for your child sports activities.
3. Stay Positive- Use positive language, stay calm, ignore outbursts, don’t react to bad behavior it will only add fuel to the situation.
4. Reward Good Behavior- Create a system or some kind of program to reward your child for good behavior.
5. Nutrition- Minimize foods with high sugar levels that will probably increase hyperactivity behavior.

This will hopefully help you with your management of ADHD.
